“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” ~John 3:14-15
“The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.” ~Revelation 12:9
“Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” So, Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived. ~Numbers 21:6-9
“In that day, the LORD will punish with his sword— his fierce, great and powerful sword— Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he will slay the monster of the sea.” ~Isaiah 27:1
“So the LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.” ~Gensis 3:14
“They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them.” ~Mark 16:18
The serpent or the snake, has been a fundamental symbol in esoteric artwork and themes since those schools of thought, knowledge and philosophy were established, and probably well before that. The serpent is known as both evil and wise. In some sources it’s the villain like in Genesis 3 where the serpent is portrayed as the symbol of Satan – the enemy of God and humanity. In other sources, its portrayed as knowledge and wisdom; and in yet other sources, it encompasses all those characteristics, and more.
One of the most famous allegories in literature is of the serpent who tempted Eve to eat the apple from the Tree of Knowledge, thus causing mankind to fall. There is much more to this story and much about it was distorted and misunderstood to this day. It was not God telling Adam and Eve not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge, it was the other one, the dark one, deceiving them that he was their God - thus, discouraging them from gaining the knowledge that would set them free. Instead, Eve ate the apple, meaning mankind took the knowledge within himself instead of upon himself. What this means is that mankind was to decide for themselves what is good and evil, instead of referring to what God had already encoded into us and the cosmos. This essentially gave mankind the idea that good and evil is determined by himself, rather than what is already embedded in the framework of nature.
Luke 17:21 - “The Kingdom of God is Within You.” This contradicts the god in Genesis. God is within you, so mankind already has the knowledge of good and evil built into his consciousness.
Think about this, do you already know instinctually what is right and wrong? Do you know that murder, rape, theft, and doing wrong unto others is inherently wrong? This deeper understanding that you have is the embedded knowledge brought into your DNA by the source. The free will to choose to do good or evil is our fall into materialism where we can operate from what was encoded into us by the source, or we can take that knowledge within ourselves (eating the apple) and become our own God and decide what is good and evil. Think about how much evil is done today by people, Governments and organizations who then justify the evil by claiming victimhood, entitlements, false flag deceptions, and other tactics that are developed in darkness so that the masses are ignorant to what they are supporting. So who was the “god” who told Adam and Eve not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge?
The seeker should understand all meanings given to the serpent, so that the texts and artwork that it appears in become more meaningful. This an important concept so one doesn’t develop a bias towards one meaning or another. This should be applied to all esoteric symbols, as the cypher to their meaning can vary quite drastically. The seeker should have the freedom of thought to place the different meanings of the symbol within the text or artwork, until a deeper understanding develops and the true expression of that work is realized and parables can then be deciphered.
In this article, I’m going to discuss another, and quite profound, meaning that the serpent represents. Ancient parables and spiritual practices often involved this snake symbol, while even in the Old Testament of the Christian bible, there are phrases discussing the “lifting of the snake,” as illustrated at the beginning of this article. What does this mean, to lift the serpent?
The Serpent; evil or holy?
This question is easier to answer when one researches the spiritual concepts and practices of the far east. In the more original understanding of Yoga, which is a practice involving specific postures, breathing, meditation, and an array of other exercises, the term Kundalini is quite common. Kundalini is a word, often misunderstood and misused, to describe an energy phenomenon that activates within an individual. This activation happens under specific conditions which enable this energy to become released. Kundalini yoga is an intense form of yoga, designed to help facilitate this energy’s rise and expansion within the body.
This dormant energy is known by different names throughout the world, among different cultures, religions, and spiritual groups; to name a few: Great Mother, the Holy Ghost, Shakti, Yang Chi, Fire Element, Sacred or Secret Fire, Ambrosia, Shekinah, Baptism by Fire, and others. As one begins to experience this phenomenon, many obscure or ambiguous texts and artwork, especially the ancient esoteric and symbolic types, their mystery and meanings become illuminated to the seeker and one then begins to interpret deeper meanings in life and about the reality that we are all experiencing.
One can only entertain the idea of Kundalini and theorize about this phenomenon. Without actually experiencing it, the truth of its reality cannot be grasped. In fact, the reality of it is far more encompassing and penetrating to one’s consciousness than the material reality that we all experience at the 5-sense level - our 3 dimensional mind.
Kundalini is the intelligent force of creation. It is the energy the causes the gigantic tree to grow from a tiny seed. It is all and everywhere. Our spiritual development happens in the flesh, not after death. Kundalini, or the Holy Serpent, is the energy of creation. It created the body at birth and after 7 years, it completed its first purpose – and now it rests, at the base of the spine, awaiting its next purpose.
One must tread lightly with this subject around religious institutions, especially Christianity. The dogmas from these institutions like to paint a demonic frame around any knowledge that has been intentionally suppressed from their herd of humans. The last thing the rulers of the realm want is for you to understand and initiate the evolutionary cycle of your spiritual-biological being, because this will set you free from the spiderweb of their Matrix. These were the true teachings of Christ Jesus along with the early Gnostics and Essenes.
I will refer to Christ often, but not in the sense of religion or the modern version of Christianity, rather I use the word for its familiarity to me from being a westerner, and because of the profound meanings I found concealed within texts written about this man named Jesus, and also such texts which supposedly derived from his words directly. It is clear that since the time of Christ Jesus, 2 millennia of efforts to alter and conceal the truths of this great revealer have been brought upon mankind to keep us lower and confined within the darkness of ignorance.
The Body: Conquer this for Everlasting Life
The body is made of carbon. 666 is the atomic number of carbon—It is no coincidence. 666, in esoteric terms, is not necessarily the Beast as we are led to believe by religious institutions; rather, it means “incomplete” or “not fully developed.” Imagine a caterpillar being manipulated with a toxic environment, DNA / genetic manipulation, and mind control to prevent it from beginning the process of metamorphosis. The caterpillar can be contained and controlled, whereas the butterfly can fly away.
Apply this concept to the body we possess (the cocoon) and one can begin to understand how we (a divine spark) are being held here in this realm, reincarnating over and over again as an undeveloped spark of divine light, incapable of flying to higher worlds. Humans are angelic-like beings who have not completed their development yet. Understanding data from gnostic and other esoteric texts, its easy to speculate that we were covertly ensnared in some false-reality or simulation (the distorted Garden of Eden) where our bodies were meddled with to keep us underdeveloped, lower natured, and under control.
The Kundalini, once awakened and managed properly, activates ones entire DNA sequence and fully awakens the mind and its higher processes. As it rises through the spinal column, it reaches each center of nerve ganglia and begins the process of healing and aligning the energy channels. These main centers where the nerves meet and intersect, coincide with the Chakras spoken about in Eastern spiritual schools and in Yoga.
The word Christ, in Greek, means oil, or the Anointed One (as is by oil). Christ Jesus was crucified on the hill called Golgotha – which means skull. As Kundalini ascends through the throat and into the skull, the Ego gets destroyed (signified by the crucifixion of the body – the death of the 5-sense ego). Jesus suffered 5 wounds upon his death: 2 nails to the wrists, 1 to the ankle, the crown of thorns, and the spear in the heart. These 5 wounds can be related to the 5 senses that one sacrifices in order to allow the serpent to rise into the 7th corridor, or the energy center where Union with the source occurs.
In one of my previous articles, The Way of Evolution & Breaking the Veil, I discussed how the Seeker begins his journey and thus works towards being Holy (clean, as in purifying the body). For in order to bring forth this evolutionary energy, one must purify the body.
“If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.” ~The Gospel of Thomas
This quote refers to Kundalini and the dangers it can bring to one who does not facilitate its rise once it awakens. One should not perform practices and techniques which are designed to agitate this energy without first thoroughly being prepared physically, emotionally, and materially. By materially, I mean having your outside life prepared for such a journey. If one has significant responsibilities, a stressful or demanding career, I strongly discourage the undertaking of this life-altering process. It can destroy the life around you, including your physical body, if one does not facilitate its rise properly.
Detachments will occur by strange coincidences and through emotional purging, one begins to lose the things he once held closely. Patterns in one’s life will become revealed and the seeker will begin to understand the world outside of him is a projection of the programming within. Eventually one realizes that there is no freedom, and that the circumstances of life are governed by the machine within, the program that runs our human, called the ego.
Therefore, one must get initiated either by a realized master, or by a determined self-initiate who becomes completely dedicated to learning about, beginning, and finishing this extraordinary evolutionary process. Once one is able to reach a meditative state in a more-or-less effortless manner, the practices that agitate and cause this energy to awaken are quite simple.
Into the light, Kundalini rises, much like a tree rises towards the sun. This light I speak of is in the eye.
“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” Mathew 6:22
This quote refers to the center of the brain where the Pineal Gland is located, also known as the 3rd eye and is connected to the 6th energy center. This energy center is where the 12 cranial nerves are pulled into alignment by Kundalini, thus fully activating and opening the 3rd eye (the spiritual, multi-dimensional eye).
This “eye” was the original eye of our reptilian beginning and the initial development of our brain, the Reptilian Brain, also known as the R-Complex. In the beginning of the physical body’s creation, the R-complex and the spinal cord was our initial cerebral-spinal structure.
Below the pineal gland is the pituitary gland. One of these glands produce a milk-like substance, the other produces a honey-like substance, hence “the land of milk and honey” often referred to in the Old Testament. This was the true destination of the 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 apostles of Christ, all can be seen as an allegory for the 12 cranial nerves.
Once one begins the journey and starts experiencing the extremely physical, emotional, mental, and biological effects of the rise of Kundalini, the parables and allegories of the old texts and artwork begin to reveal a deeper meaning. The symbols are everywhere. The profound healing that happens from a proper Kundalini awakening is even symbolized in major medical institutions around the globe.
The 2 snakes represent the energy of Kundalini energizing the Pingala and Ida energy channels that twist their way up the spinal channel. When the 7th energy center is pierced, and the full alignment of the energy body is fulfilled, the connection and realization of the source and the true “being in the body,” is then realized. The being in the body, which has developed as the energy or Astral body, also depicted as The Tree of Life, is now divinely connected and thus governs the body. This is the 2nd birth, or the resurrection. Note the wings at the top of the Caduceas - the symbol of Hermes, whereas the Rod of Asclepius is used in medical institutions (which has just one snake twisting up the rod).
Seek more about this truth, prepare diligently for your journey and find your way from the darkness of Muladhara and into the light of Sahasrara. You will grow wings and when the body dies, there will be no death for you. The Christ is within all of us, waiting to be awakened and risen into the light.
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. ~ John 14:6
“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” ~ John 8:12
“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he dies, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.” ~ John 11:25
“And I promise that I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, a land flowing with milk and honey.” ~ Exodus 3:8
Egypt is the root, or Muladhara, the 1st chakra. We must depart from our lower nature, and journey north towards the light. Follow Christ, the Sun, and experience death of the ego identity, and then the rise of the Christ within. This is the true second coming of Christ.
As always, a very necessary read! I also notice in the Rod of Ascleplius, the way the two serpents whirl up is representative of the structure of DNA. Coincides with your point about Kundalini being the intelligent force of creation.
